Fattened Up

Lookin' good, huh? I was trying to get better pix, but the light must have been bad.

Death Dog

Our poor little baby endured pure torture while were away. The vet, who should be able to take care of her, caused her to look like ASPCA seized horse when we got her back. She was reported to "eat her food too fast" and then had some vomiting, so they did xrays with barium. There MAY have been something small in there blocking her up, but it seemed to have taken care of itself when she started having diarrea. Anyhoo, they cut her food back and she lost about 7 pounds. I'm posting this over a month later and she has JUST started to look good and strong and is putting on weight like I want her to. Stupid vet.

I'm not sure how clear or detailed these pictures are for you, but if you can't see well enough, know that she was super skinny and visualize a dying horse. Here, I'll help.

Almost 5 Months Old

Niobe keeps getting bigger and bigger and smarter and smarter. She's doing very well with potty training and is starting to give signals that she needs to go out. She's pretty good with all of her basic commands, always motivated by a meal or an ice cube. She's getting quite vocal with her grownup bark and likes to protect us (and scare the neighbors) from car horns, reflections, shadows and ordinary objects used in new ways (watch the video of the attack of the food bowl). We will be starting one or two new classes in a couple weeks- a continuation of obedience and an introduction to agility. We'll see if I'm up for two classes or not. Here's some new photos of the little darling and a couple videos of her antics.
Awwww.
Demon Dog.
This is approximately 90 seconds after receiving this toy for the first time. Note the early distruction.
Here she is at Adam's grad party, taking everything in.

This is how Niobe likes to repay us for buying her a fun new toy- destroying it and trying to break the TV.

This is how a scary, attacking food bowl gets treated in our house. Niobe doesn't take any crap from inanimate objects.

Up to Date

Here's the latest on Niobe.
We just went to the vet and she now weighs 20.8 lbs. Her ears are down to "breathe" and we put them back up right after the outdoor shots were taken.

Playtime.

With one of her favorite toys.

What a cute face.

What a scary face.

Who, me?

Ryan's favorite thing about puppies.

But he still loves her. How sweet.

Crazy frisbee dog.

Playing with her FAVORITE toy, the most expensive type, of course- the stick.

What a cute belly.

Last Week

Stupid ears.

New Pix

Here's our little girl at 10 weeks old.

What a pretty profile.

Here's the shirt I bought as a surprise for Ryan and she grew out of it right after this picture. Ha ha.

Listening to Daddy, like any baby girl should.
